China’s top tech stocks have surged $439 billion this year, outperforming their US peers and leaving many investors optimistic about further gains. The seven largest Chinese technology companies, known as the “7 titans”, have gained over 40% in value, while the Mag Seven stocks – a group of similar US companies – have plummeted by around 10%. This disparity has pushed the Nasdaq 100 Index to the edge of correction. A broader sell-off in China’s tech sector earlier this year, known as “DeepSeek”, may be giving way to a re-rating of these companies, with many expecting them to continue their upward trajectory.
