Chocolate Products Recalled by Cal Yee Farm LLC Due to Undeclared Allergens

A California snack company, Cal Yee Farm LLC, has recalled several chocolate and yogurt-covered products due to undeclared allergens. The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has given some of these products a Class I classification, the agency’s highest risk level, which indicates that consuming them can cause serious or life-threatening allergic reactions.

The affected products include Dark Chocolate Walnuts, Dark Chocolate Raisins, Dark Chocolate Almonds, and more, which were sold in California, Arizona, Virginia, New Mexico, Texas, Tennessee, Oregon, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. They were also available online through the company’s website and at some retail stores.

The recall was initiated after an FDA inspection found that snacks containing milk, soy, wheat, sesame, FD&C #6 (synthetic dye), and almonds were sold in packaging that wasn’t properly labeled. The company has started a voluntary recall process, and customers with allergies are advised to throw away the products or return them for a full refund.

Consumers can contact Cal Yee Farm LLC at (707) 425-5327 or [email protected] between 8 a.m. Pacific time and 4:30 p.m. Pacific time, Monday through Friday, to report any concerns.
