A popular brand of ready-to-eat meat sticks, Chomps, has issued a massive recall of over 29,000 units after customers reported finding pieces of metal in the products. The recall affects both beef and turkey stick varieties. The Idaho Smokehouse Partners company received only two complaints about the issue before taking action to ensure customer safety.
The affected products were shipped to stores in California and Illinois between January 16 and January 23, but no reports of illness have been linked to the recalled meat sticks. Consumers are advised to discard or return any remaining Chomps beef or turkey sticks for a full refund. The recall also covers newer batches of both product lines to minimize risk, with affected items set to expire in February next year.
