Singer Chris Brown is suing Warner Bros. for $500 million over allegations made in the Investigation Discovery docuseries “Chris Brown: A History of Violence.” The lawsuit alleges that the producers behind the series, including Warner Bros. and Ample, defamed him through libel and intentional infliction of emotional distress with false claims.
Brown accuses the media outlets of prioritizing profits over truth, claiming they aired a documentary knowing it was full of lies and deception. He also disputes evidence used against him, saying it has been discredited multiple times, including that of “Jane Doe,” who is described as an aggressor herself.
Despite acknowledging past mistakes publicly acknowledged in his 2017 documentary, Brown’s evolution since then supports the claim that he has grown from those experiences.
