Chris Paul Returns to LA Clippers for One-Year Deal

NBA legend Chris Paul is rejoining the Los Angeles Clippers after a six-year departure, signing a one-year deal worth $3.6 million. The 40-year-old guard, a 12-time All-Star, will serve as a reserve point guard under new coach Tyronn Lue.

Paul, who ranks second all-time in assists and steals, returns to the team where he played from 2011-17. He averaged 8.8 points and 7.4 assists with the Spurs last season, making history by starting 82 games at his age, a feat achieved only by John Stockton and Michael Jordan before him.

“We’re fortunate to have Chris back,” said Clippers team president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank. “He will fortify our backcourt with his exceptional skills.”
