A declassified book written by former US Air Force employee and UFO researcher Chan Thomas claims that every 6,500 years, a major disaster on the scale of the Biblical ‘Great Flood’ strikes the Earth. The book, titled “The Adam and Eve Story,” was classified by the CIA for over 50 years due to its potential to cause mass panic or leak information related to secret government research.
Thomas asserts that the next catastrophe is imminent, citing a shift in the Earth’s magnetic field as the trigger. He believes that this will wreak havoc across the planet, causing widespread destruction and chaos. The book describes a scenario where California is destroyed by winds with the force of a thousand armies, followed by an earthquake that creates massive cracks in the ground.
However, experts have largely debunked Thomas’ theory, citing a lack of scientific evidence to support his claims. Martin Mlynczak, a senior research scientist at NASA Langley Research Center, stated that “there’s no proof and no science and no physics behind any of the claims about the magnetic field change being associated with climate change.” The book also features contradictory statements from Thomas himself, which further undermine its credibility.
The book was written in 1966 but remained classified until it was partially declassified in 2013. Despite this, most experts agree that Thomas’ theory is unfounded and that the violent disaster described in “The Adam and Eve Story” will not come to pass.
