The advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the way businesses operate, but it’s also placing new demands on enterprise infrastructure. To help enterprises meet this challenge, Cisco has unveiled a range of smart switches, routers, and Wi-Fi gear at its annual conference, Cisco Live 2025.
According to Jeetu Patel, Cisco Systems’ president and chief product officer, AI represents one of the most consequential technology shifts in human history. As chatbots evolve into autonomous agents, enterprise networks must be robust and secure enough to keep up.
Cisco is introducing new, purpose-built hardware that offers low latency, high capacity, and built-in security for businesses grappling with AI. The company’s latest smart switches, such as the C9350 and C9610, deliver up to 51.2 Tbps of throughput, below 5-microsecond latency, and quantum-resistant secure networking.
The new Cisco Secure Routers offer native SD-WAN and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) integration, next-generation firewall (NGFW), and post-quantum security in a single-box WAN solution. Additionally, the company is expanding its wireless portfolio with the completion of its Wi-Fi 7 product line, featuring the Cisco Wireless 9179F series access points.
Cisco is also growing its industrial portfolio to meet the needs of industrial AI use cases. The company has unveiled 19 new ruggedized switches that support applications such as visual quality inspection and autonomous mobile robots.
These innovations are part of Cisco’s “Agentic AI Era,” which includes an AI Canvas for reimagined IT operations. With these new products, businesses can better navigate the complexities of AI-powered infrastructure and ensure their networks remain secure and efficient.
