Nintendo has added two more classic Game Boy titles to its Switch Online subscription catalogue, making them available for subscribers to play today.
The new additions are 1994’s Donkey Kong and Mario’s Picross. Donkey Kong is a highly-regarded puzzle platformer that builds upon the original arcade game with elements from Donkey Kong Jr. and subsequent Mario vs Donkey Kong titles. The game includes a fun surprise after four levels, which coincide with the original arcade cabinet experience.
Mario’s Picross, released in 1995, was one of the earliest Picross games in the west and introduced players to puzzles based on Mario and Mushroom Kingdom designs. With these additions, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers now have access to more classic games, including a possible preview of what’s to come for the next console generation with potential backwards compatibility.
