Cal’s baseball team suffered a tough weekend against Clemson, losing three out of four games. The Tigers dominated the series, winning 21-8 overall and dropping the Bears to 6-6 in conference play.
The Bears started strong on Friday night, taking an early lead behind Tianna Bell’s RBI single. However, Clemson evened the score and eventually took a 3-5 lead, despite Cal’s rally efforts.
In the second game, Clemson pitcher Brooke McCubbin locked down a 2-1 win for her team with a clutch two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning. The final game saw Clemson’s offense explode for 10 runs in the first inning, leading to a 4-14 victory.
Cal will look to bounce back against Nevada on Friday, seeking to regain its winning form after suffering their second consecutive three-game losing streak.
