Clover Valley Instant Coffee Recall Due to Glass Contamination

Dollar General is recalling three lots of its eight-ounce Clover Valley Instant Coffee due to possible glass contamination. The affected coffee was sold nationwide between July 9 and July 21 in stores across 48 states, including Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, and others.

The recall affects products with the UPC number 876941004069 and lot numbers L-5163, L-5164, and L-5165. Customers can identify these products by checking their best-by dates, which range from December 13, 2026, to December 14, 2026.

No illnesses or injuries have been reported so far, but the FDA warns that ingesting glass fragments can cause serious harm, including damage to teeth and throat, lacerations, or intestinal perforation. To ensure a full refund, customers should discard the affected coffee and contact Dollar General via email at [email protected] or phone at 1-888-309-9030 (available from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. CST, seven days a week).

Dollar General is investigating the source of the glass contamination and apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this product issue.
