Clyde Edwards-Helaire Waived by Chiefs Amid Health Issues

The Kansas City Chiefs have waived running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, citing health issues as the reason for the decision. Edwards-Helaire had previously revealed that he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and was placed on the non-football illness list before the 2024 season. A fifth-round pick out of LSU in 2019, Edwards-Helaire had a promising rookie season with 1,100 yards from scrimmage but saw his snaps dwindle after losing his starting job to Isiah Pacheco in 2022. He has since appeared in only one game this year due to health issues.
