CM Punk Demands Paul Heyman as Cornerman at WrestleMania 41

CM Punk kicked off SmackDown in Chicago last night by announcing that he would reveal his favor to Roman Reigns. The favor was tied to a debt from 2006 when Paul Heyman was fired by Vince McMahon, and Punk’s only ally in the company at the time.

Punk explained that Heyman told him, “When you main event WrestleMania, force them to deal with us.” With Heyman no longer an active WWE employee, Punk decided to use the favor to get his friend into the main event of WrestleMania 41. However, Roman Reigns laughed off the offer and reminded Heyman that he saved him from the OTC.

Instead of taking Heyman’s word for it, Roman ordered Heyman to say no, which ultimately led to Punk attacking Roman with a GTS. In the end, Heyman chose to support his friend CM Punk by announcing that he will be in his corner at WrestleMania 41, leaving Reigns to face the OTC alone.

The outcome sets the stage for an intense match between Roman Reigns and CM Punk, as well as their respective teams, at WrestleMania 41.
