Carl Pei’s sub-brand, CMF, has released the Phone 2 Pro, a budget-friendly Android device that boasts improved specs and new features. The phone features a fast MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G chip, higher-resolution cameras with telephoto and ultra-wide lenses, and increased battery life. However, the Phone 2 Pro’s modular design has taken a hit with some accessories being incompatible.
The device comes in several colors, including light green, white, black, and orange, and is refreshingly lightweight (185g) and thin (7.8mm). The screen is more than bright enough, and Nothing OS 3.2 provides a responsive experience thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate.
A standout feature of the Phone 2 Pro is its rear camera system, which includes a triple-lens setup with a main lens, telephoto lens, and ultra-wide lens. While the phone’s AI-powered features are promising, they’re currently limited in usage.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro starts at £219 in the UK, €249 in Europe, and ₹18,999 for 8GB of RAM + 128GB of storage, with a higher-end variant available for £279. Accessories, including official phone cases and lenses, are also available, but their compatibility may vary depending on regional availability.
A full review will be published on Gizmodo soon, so stay tuned for more details on the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s performance, camera capabilities, and overall value.
