Coca-Cola reported a better-than-expected fourth-quarter revenue, driven by rising sales volumes in the US, China, and other markets. The company’s revenue grew 6% to $11.5 billion, beating analyst expectations.
In terms of sales volume, Coke saw a significant increase, with unit case volumes up 2%, reversing a decline seen in the third quarter. This growth was driven by strong demand for its Coca-Cola Zero Sugar brand, which saw case volumes rise 13%. Water, coffee, tea, and sports drink volumes also increased by 2%.
However, some categories saw a decline, including juice, dairy, and plant-based drinks, which fell 1%. Coke’s price hike of 9% in the quarter was partly due to inflation and a shift towards premium beverages.
The company’s net income rose 11% to $2.2 billion, with adjusted earnings per share beating analyst forecasts. For 2025, Coke expects organic revenue growth of 5-6%, following a 12% growth last year. The stock price rose nearly 4% in premarket trading after the announcement.
