Colin Farrell Wins SAG Award for “The Penguin”

Colin Farrell won his first SAG Award on Sunday night, taking home the award for Best Actor in a Limited Series for his role as Max in “The Penguin.” The ceremony was hosted by Jamie Lee Curtis, who presented the award to Farrell.

Farrell’s win comes after he previously won the Golden Globe for the same role. His co-star Cristin Milioti also took home a Critics’ Choice Award for her role. At the SAG Awards, Farrell praised two of his colleagues, Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix, who played DC villains Joker in previous films.

Farrell was nominated alongside Javier Bardem, Kevin Kline, Andrew Scott, and Richard Gadd for their roles in different projects. The actor’s comments on his peers were widely praised, with him calling them “extraordinarily talented” and “gifted artists.”
