The 12-team College Football Playoff bracket has been announced, with Oregon taking the top spot as the No. 1 seed. Georgia and Boise State also received byes, while Arizona State is seeded No. 4 despite ranking only No. 12 due to being the fourth-highest ranked conference champion.
The four highest-ranked conference champions received automatic bids and byes, including Georgia and Oregon. The remaining eight teams will compete in the first round on Dec. 20-21, with matchups featuring Indiana vs. Notre Dame, SMU at Penn State, Texas against Clemson, and Tennessee facing Ohio State.
The quarterfinals will take place on Dec. 31-Jan. 1, with games at the Fiesta Bowl, Rose Bowl, Peach Bowl, and Sugar Bowl. The semifinals will be played on Jan. 9-10, followed by the CFP National Championship on Jan. 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
