ESPN’s “College GameDay” has predicted the outcome of the Sugar Bowl between Georgia and Notre Dame, with three members of the crew tipping the Bulldogs to win. The game is set to take place on January 2 at 4:00 p.m. ET.
Notably, former Michigan standout Desmond Howard picked Notre Dame, while former Alabama head coach Nick Saban chose Georgia. GameDay analyst Pat McAfee also predicted a Georgia victory, citing Kirby Smart’s recent performances. Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit joined Saban in picking the Bulldogs to win.
The crew’s predictions were unanimous on one team: Texas Longhorns, who beat Arizona State 39-31 in double overtime earlier this season. Despite some differing opinions, the majority of “College GameDay” predicts Georgia will emerge victorious in the Sugar Bowl.
