Collin Morikawa Splits with Caddie Joe Greiner Ahead of Rocket Classic

Collin Morikawa has parted ways with caddie Joe Greiner, his partner since April, just before competing in the upcoming Rocket Classic. The 28-year-old golfer confirmed to Golfweek that they had split, citing a “difference in page” and not wanting to be on the same team anymore.

Morikawa will now be accompanied by KK Limbhasut, a former college teammate at Cal-Berkeley, for this week’s event. This is due to Limbhasut being six players short of making the field at the upcoming Memorial Health Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Despite Morikawa and Greiner having had an initial success in their partnership, with five cuts made together since April, they struggled in recent events, including a T-50 at the PGA Championship and a disappointing T-23 finish at the Masters. Morikawa is currently ranked fifth in the world and will be looking to regain form as he heads into the Rocket Classic, where he lost in a playoff in 2023.

The split comes after Morikawa parted ways with his previous caddie, J.J. Jakovac, in late April. Greiner had previously been working with Max Homa, but was an 11th-hour replacement for Justin Thomas at the Masters.
