Comcast has chosen Michael Angelakis, a longtime friend and former finance chief, to lead the company’s cable and broadband operations after spinning off its media and entertainment business. Angelakis was offered the job by Chairman Brian Roberts during a four-hour lunch at a diner near Philadelphia. In an interview, Angelakis stated that he is passionate about this industry due to his long-standing involvement in it.
