Washington Commanders guard Sam Cosmi is expected to miss the entire postseason due to a severe knee injury. The 25-year-old suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee, according to an announcement by the team on Sunday. As a result, Cosmi’s surgery and rehabilitation process will likely consume the offseason and part of the 2025 regular season. Full-time starter Sam Cosmi was under contract through 2027 with a $15.5 million guaranteed salary for 2025. With his injury likely to keep him out, Trent Scott is expected to take on the starting role next Sunday against the Eagles in their Super Bowl LXIX playoff game.
