Conan O’Brian’s house remained untouched by the Los Angeles wildfires, despite being evacuated. During a podcast episode last month, he revealed his team was discussing hosting the 2025 Oscars when they heard smoke and learned their home had been evacuated. “It’s part of life in L.A., so I wasn’t thinking much about it,” O’Brian said.
O&Brian shared that while many people lost their homes during the fires, more than 80,000 were evacuated, including celebrities like Leighton Meester and Adam Brody. In a touching moment, his longtime assistant Sona Movsesian recalled losing her home in the Altadena area, which was destroyed by the Eaton Fire.
The fires, which started in Pacific Palisades, have already caused significant destruction, with more than 10,000 structures burned and over 27 deaths reported so far. O’Brian praised the brave firefighters working to protect residents while people like Tara Lipinski and Chrissy Teigen shared their evacuations on social media.
O&Brian also appreciated the support of his neighbors, including a shout-out to a Redondo Beach fire truck crew on Instagram after they assisted him during the chaos.
