Conor McGregor criticized the Nurmagomedov family after their recent fight with Paul Hughes. McGregor described them as non-fighters, calling them “runner, sprinter, bolter, scarper, scurrying fighter,” and dismissed the notion that they are legitimate competitors. In a tweet, he stated, “Tremendous fight! Easy win for Hughes, he dominated that fight.”
The Nurmagomedovs have a history of antagonizing McGregor since their rivalry in 2018 during the UFC lightweight title fight. However, Khabib Nurmagomedov has moved on post-retirement and is now a top coach, while his cousin Usman continues to compete.
McGregor is out for over four years due to a broken leg but may return soon without facing anyone from the Nurmagomedov family in his first fight back. Despite this, McGregor remains vocal about targeting them whenever possible.
