Control, the popular action-adventure game from Remedy Entertainment, has received an update with new content five years after its launch. The update includes a cameo appearance by Death Stranding director Hideo Kojima as Dr. Yoshimi Tokui in the game’s “Dr. Tokui Tapes” mission. This mission was previously only available to PlayStation 4 Digital Deluxe edition players.
In addition to the Kojima cameo, the update also adds three new outfits for the player character, which were previously exclusive to pre-orders. The update includes graphics and DLSS updates, as well as bug fixes to improve overall performance. Some cinematics and end credits have been improved with audio adjustments.
The update is currently available only on PC, but Remedy Entertainment plans to release it on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in the near future. The company is also working on a sequel to Control, titled Control 2, as well as a follow-up to Death Stranding, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
