Chevrolet’s 2025 Corvette ZR1 has shattered the record for a production Vette, accelerating from 0-60 mph in an incredible 2.3 seconds. The vehicle was equipped with the optional ZTK Performance Package and ran on 93-octane pump gas on a non-prepped surface without the one-foot rollout, a condition that typically slows down such launches.
The ZR1’s impressive performance was further demonstrated by its lap time at the Nürburgring track. With a quarter-mile time of 9.6 seconds, it eclipses the standard model’s time of 9.7 seconds and leaves other Corvette variants in the dust. The ZTK package adds significant downforce, which proved crucial for the record-breaking run.
Chevrolet attributes the exceptional performance to its Magnetic Selective Ride Control 4.0 system, as well as the unique tune provided by the ZTK Performance Package. This combination enables quick and repeatable launches, thanks to the car’s Launch Control feature. With a 1,064-hp engine and bespoke Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, the Corvette is poised for further competition.
The record-breaking run marks another milestone in the Corvette’s history, solidifying its position as the fastest car ever built by an American manufacturer. As the automotive world waits with bated breath for what comes next, one thing is clear: the Corvette is ready to take on all comers.
