The rumors surrounding the Nintendo Switch 2 have not subsided, with a recent leak on 4chan claiming a new Super Smash Bros title will be one of its launch titles. According to an anonymous source, the roster includes Waluigi, Toon Zelda, and several other characters.
While the source is questionable, given that anyone can post on 4chan, it’s worth noting that series creator Masahiro Sakurai recently announced his retirement from leading Nintendo projects. In a statement, Sakurai expressed concerns about finding a suitable replacement for him in developing another Super Smash Bros title.
However, the leak directly referencing Sakurai’s involvement is hard to believe, making it unlikely. Despite this, there is still speculation that a new Smash Bros game will be released during the Switch 2’s lifespan.
