The Dallas Cowboys have re-signed defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa to a four-year contract worth $80 million, according to NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. The deal includes $58 million guaranteed.
Initially, the team was expected to franchise tag Odighizuwa as a placeholder while negotiating a long-term deal, but the parties came to an agreement before the deadline. This move secures the 26-year-old defensive tackle for the Cowboys, who will now have him on a more stable contract through 2027.
Odighizuwa has been a reliable presence in the trenches, recording career highs in sacks, QB hits, and tackles in 2024. He was ranked No. 7 overall on Gregg Rosenthal’s Top 101 Free Agents list as the second-best defensive tackle option behind Milton Williams.
The re-signing of Odighizuwa is the first step towards a more aggressive offseason for the Cowboys, with co-owner Stephen Jones stating that it marks the team’s approach to “being selectively aggressive.” However, one major contract remaining is that of star defender Micah Parsons, who will be a key focus in the upcoming offseason.
