Oklahoma State wrestlers Dustin Plott and Dean Hamiti Jr., as well as current wrestler Carter Young, are competing in the Senior World Team Trials Challenge this weekend. The event takes place in Louisville, Kentucky, from May 16-17.
Dean Hamiti (79kg) is a strong contender after winning an NCAA title last month. He will face familiar opponents from the U.S. Open, where he finished runner-up behind Evan Wick. If Hamiti wins, he could set up a rematch with Wick at Final X in Newark, New Jersey on June 14.
Four-time NCAA All-American Dustin Plott (92kg) is also competing pre-seeded at No. 4. He will face Trent Hidlay at Final X, who lost to Oklahoma State head coach David Taylor last season.
Current wrestler Carter Young (65kg) takes the mat pre-seeded at No. 9 and would face Cowboy RTC member Joey McKenna if he wins his weight class.
Seeding is not final until after weigh-ins conclude, but fans can follow along via streaming on FloWrestling.org or live updates from @CowboyWrestling on X.
