Coyote Spotted in Aldi Refrigerated Section in Chicago

A coyote was found hiding in the refrigerated section of an Aldi store in Chicago, prompting a viral video of its chaotic capture. The animal control officers eventually took the coyote into custody and transferred it to a wildlife rehabilitation facility. According to officials, the coyote is unharmed but scared, and is being returned to the wild as soon as possible.

The theory behind the coyote’s appearance at the store suggests it was trying to escape “human traffic” and hide from people inside the store. The wildlife facility believes the coyote was on an excursion to mark its territory during mating season.

In a response to public queries, Chicago animal control confirmed that the coyote is in good health despite its ordeal. It has also clarified that the coyote will not be up for adoption but some of its distant cousins may be available for adoption.
