Conservative activist Robby Starbuck has released a video criticizing Cracker Barrel’s recent logo and decor changes, claiming the updates are part of a years-long campaign to cater to far-left values and abandon its middle-American customer base. Starbuck alleges that the company is “infested with left-wing activists” who prioritize safe spaces and virtue signaling over customer satisfaction.
Starbuck highlights Cracker Barrel’s support for LGBTQ+ organizations, including Nashville Pride and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), as evidence of the company’s shift towards wokeness. He also points to the display of rainbow-colored rocking chairs in the Tennessee corporate office and other locations nationwide.
Cracker Barrel has denied participating in HRC’s Corporate Equality Index and claimed it had no affiliation with the organization for several years. However, two Cracker Barrel employees mentioned in Starbuck’s video are currently involved with HRC. The company has stated that its recent logo change was a response to customer demand, but Starbuck argues that this is just a ruse to appease left-wing activists.
Starbuck sees the controversy as a win-win for conservatives, who will either choose not to support Cracker Barrel or force the company to revert back to its traditional branding. The conservative activist emphasizes that the issue is not just about the logo change but about preserving American heritage and culture in the face of what he sees as a left-wing power structure.
