Critics Choice Awards Postponed Again Due to LA Wildfires

The Critics Choice Awards, initially set for January 12, have been delayed once again due to the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. The ceremony, celebrating its 30th anniversary, is now scheduled for sometime in February with an official date yet to be announced.

The live broadcast will air on E! and be available on Peacock the following day. Chelsea Handler remains as host, promising a celebration that balances respect and resilience during this difficult time for the community.

The Critic’s Choice Awards has been impacted by the fires, which have destroyed thousands of structures and affected nearly 200,000 residents in Los Angeles County. However, amid the destruction, Angelenos have rallied together to support those affected, with contributions pouring into organizations such as the California Fire Foundation.

This year’s nominations are led by “Conclave” and “Wicked”, both earning 11 nominations each. The ceremony remains one of the season’s most anticipated events, recognizing excellence across film and television.
