Critics Mince Words on Netflix’s ‘Electric State’

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo aimed high with their latest sci-fi film, The Electric State. However, the big-budget production has received overwhelmingly negative reviews from critics. Vulture critic Bilge Ebiri deemed it a “$320 million piece of junk” that becomes “actively annoying.” Despite some praise for its special effects or performances, reviewers largely felt the positives weren’t enough to save the film.
