Andrew Cuomo has rebounded from scandals that once seemed career-ending, leaving former President Richard Nixon in his dust. Cuomo is set to run for mayor of New York, despite a history of corruption allegations that have dogged other politicians.
Cuomo, who shares Nixon’s stern expression, appears to have found a way to overcome similar setbacks. The 37th president, once left for dead after Watergate, is now facing criticism from his own era.
As Cuomo launches his mayoral campaign, he currently leads polling with a significant margin, thanks in part to the controversy surrounding incumbent Mayor Eric Adams and his association with Trump.
