Cyberpunk 2077 Gets Major Patch 2.3 on June 26

CDPR has been working on Cyberpunk 2077’s next iteration, Orion, but its development halted shortly after the release of the game’s 2.0 Phantom Liberty expansion. However, CDPR continues to support the game with new patches.

The latest patch, 2.3, is set to arrive on June 26 and will be a major update with numerous changes. Although CDPR claims it has stopped development for the game, new patches have been released regularly since Phantom Liberty’s launch in 2023.

Patch 2.1 introduced features like a working Metro system, car-based combat missions, and romantic hangouts. Patch 2.2 added character customization options, photo mode enhancements, and reactive car paint.

The latest patch will likely include significant updates. CDPR revealed it during a stream, but the company considers the new features technically DLC rather than an expansion like Phantom Liberty.

The timing of the update coincides with Cyberpunk 2077’s launch on Nintendo Switch 2, marking a technical milestone for the game. This may bring in new players who can experience the entire game up to patch 2.2 from the start.

CDPR is likely to release similar updates as before, and fans are eagerly awaiting the changes. The developer has promised to continue supporting the game with regular updates.
