The rocky launch of Cyberpunk 2077 almost five years ago has finally seen some progress. Developer CD Projekt Red (CDPR) continues to work on the game, releasing patches like version 2.3 on June 26, 2025, with a significant update just around the corner.
This new patch is part of ongoing efforts to refine and expand the open-world RPG. According to recent announcements made during a CDPR stream discussing the Nintendo Switch port launch, the upcoming update will be a surprise for players. Associate Game Director Paweł Sasko hinted that the team has been secretly working on it “for you,” while Global Community Director Marcin Momot promised more details soon.
While waiting for the patch, fans can explore mods and other games in the cyberpunk genre. CDPR is also gearing up for its next project, The Witcher 4. Stay tuned for further updates on this highly anticipated game.
