Cybertruck Owner Stuck in Mud After Trying Water Mode

Tesla’s Elon Musk has long claimed that its $100,000 Cybertruck can “act as a boat” and cross rivers. However, the company’s warranty and testing results paint a different picture. The truck’s designer had previously thrown a steel ball at a side window, showing it was fragile.

When questioned about the vehicle’s water capabilities, Musk said Tesla cars could float for short periods. He claimed the Cybertruck would be “waterproof enough” to serve as a boat and cross rivers. However, one owner in California took Musk’s claim at face value and tried to use the truck’s “wade mode” to enter a river.

The result was disastrous – the owner got stuck in the mud. This incident highlights the limitations of Tesla’s water claims, which are not covered under warranty. Despite this, some owners may still be tempted to try out the wade mode, but it’s best to err on the side of caution and follow Tesla’s warnings.
