Maitland defended her remarks, stating that she had invited Danielle to her wedding but never received an invitation, and that their encounter on the Girl Meets World set was strained. The two eventually tried to smooth things over, but Maitland alleged that Danielle was trying to stir up controversy for ratings purposes. However, Danielle disputed this claim, saying she didn’t want to create drama for attention.
The feud seemed to have subsided after the podcast episode, with Danielle reiterating her apology and stating she doesn’t “hate” Maitland.
