The NBA has completed a three-team trade involving the Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs, and Charlotte. The deal brings Sacramento’s De’Aaron Fox to the Spurs, where he will join reigning rookie of the year Victor Wembanyama.
In exchange for Fox, the Spurs will send Zach LaVine to the Kings, while the Bulls receive Kevin Huerter from Sacramento. Additionally, the Bulls will acquire Jordan McLaughlin and Sidy Cissoko from the Spurs, and Tre Jones from the Spurs will join the Bulls.
The trade also involves several draft picks, including six for the Kings from San Antonio. The deal was finalized on Monday, following its initial agreement on Sunday.
Fox expressed his gratitude to Sacramento fans in an Instagram post, saying they “deserve the best” after the team’s decision not to re-sign him. The Spurs see Fox as a key addition, given Wembanyama’s rising star status and the potential for their young core to thrive without significant draft pick costs.
The trade also marks a new beginning for LaVine in Sacramento, where he will reunite with former teammate DeMar DeRozan and play alongside perennial All-NBA candidate Domantas Sabonis.
