A Delta Air Lines flight bound for Minneapolis-St. Paul made an emergency landing at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport after the pilot reported an engine issue just before takeoff. The plane, with over 200 passengers on board, taxied to a stop and used emergency slides to evacuate the aircraft.
The incident occurred during significant snowfall in the region, which led to hundreds of flight cancellations and delays. Four people sustained minor injuries, including one person who was transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Delta officials confirmed that their crew followed established procedures to address the issue and apologized to customers for the disruption. The airline is working to rebook affected passengers and minimize further delays.
