Delta Flight Returns to LAX After Smoke Detected

A Delta Air Lines flight was forced to return to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Saturday night after smoke was detected on board. The Airbus A350-900 aircraft, bound for Sydney, Australia, took off at 9 p.m. but landed safely just 30 minutes later.

The plane’s crew followed standard procedures to address the issue, and all 162 passengers were reaccommodated on a different flight. “We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travels,” said Delta in a statement.

Upon landing, there was no smoke in the cockpit, but pilots requested medical attention for some passengers who may have been affected by the smoke. The incident highlights the importance of prioritizing customer safety and following established procedures to ensure the well-being of all on board.
