Delta Partners with JetZero for Sustainable Aviation

Delta Air Lines has partnered with California startup JetZero to bring a revolutionary aircraft to market by 2027. The blended-wing-body airframe is designed to be up to 50% more fuel efficient than current tube-and-wing aircraft, a significant advantage in decarbonizing airline operations.

The partnership will help accelerate development of the aircraft, which received funding from the US Air Force and partners Northrop Grumman and Scaled Composites. Delta will provide operational expertise to make the technology commercially viable, while also leading interior cabin design.

JetZero’s innovative design offers increased overhead bin space, accessible seats, and lavatories. With this initiative, Delta aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

Separately, US President Donald Trump has sent a letter to Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei, seeking a deal on the country’s nuclear program. This marks the first significant engagement between the US and Iran since the new administration took office.
