Demi Moore Wins First-Ever Golden Globe Award

Demi Moore has won her first-ever Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for her performance in The Substance at the 2025 Golden Globes ceremony. Bruce Willis’ ex-wife and Emma Heming Willis offered congratulatory messages on social media after Demi took home the trophy.

In a video shared by Emma on Instagram, Demi can be seen showing off her look ahead of the ceremony, which was hosted by Nikki Glaser at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Alongside the clip, Emma wrote, “We’re screaming over here!!! Congratulations @demimoore!!!!!”

Demi’s daughters, Rumer Willis, Scout Willis, and Tallulah Willis, also reacted to her win with heartwarming messages on social media. In a video shared by Scout, all three sisters watched the ceremony together while sitting in a living room alongside friends and family, cheering when Demi’s name was announced as the winner.

Demi beat out fellow nominees including Amy Adams, Cynthia Erivo, Karla Sofía Gascón, Mikey Madison, and Zendaya to take home the award. During her acceptance speech, she shared a powerful message about overcoming self-doubt and finding her worth: “In those moments when we don’t think we’re smart enough, or pretty enough, or skinny enough, or successful enough, or basically just not enough… I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.'”

Demi added, “I celebrate this as a marker of my wholeness and of the love that is driving me and for the gift of doing something I love and being reminded that I do belong.”
