Derek Carr, the Saints’ starting quarterback, has confirmed his shoulder injury during a sermon on Sunday. The team’s quarterback acknowledged the issue, stating that he has an MRI report to prove it and that he’s been in constant communication with the club. Carr emphasized that there’s nothing wrong and that they’re working to figure out the issue.
Carr also addressed rumors suggesting the injury was fabricated, saying “I have an MRI report to prove it.” The quarterback expressed frustration with people lying about him, stating his first since NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on his potential shoulder injury. With Carr’s future in question, the Saints drafted 25-year-old quarterback Tyler Shough in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
