Diablo 4 Leaderboards Still MIA After Season 7

Diablo 4 players are frustrated that leaderboards have been sidelined in Season 7’s endgame content plans. The feature was added during Season 3, but its implementation was initially marred by gameplay bugs and poor rewards.

Despite the initial issues, the community grew to appreciate The Gauntlet, a Challenge Dungeon that allowed players to track their progress through leaderboards. However, it was temporarily disabled during Season 5 and did not return for Season 6.

Recently, Blizzard developer Adam Fletcher replied to a player’s question about The Gauntlet’s future, stating that the company is exploring alternative ways to handle leaderboards in Diablo 4. This has left the community uncertain about the game’s endgame progression and motivated play.

Several players have suggested using The Pit, another endgame mode similar to Greater Rifts in Diablo 3, as a potential solution for resolving the leaderboards issue. Without leaderboards, some players feel that there is no point in playing online. With Season 7 underway on January 21, fans are eagerly awaiting more details about Diablo 4’s leaderboards and what the future holds for this feature.
