Blizzard has released its roadmap for 2025 in Diablo IV, promising new content and updates that will keep players engaged throughout the year. The road map begins where the Age of Hatred left off, with Mephisto’s resurgence continuing to shape the game.
In 2025, two IP collaborations will be integrated into the game, although details remain under wraps. Instead, we can look forward to new seasonal themes and questlines that build towards a second expansion in 2026.
New content includes several key features:
* Belial’s Return: The Lord of Lies is back, and players can engage with him and two Vessel of Hatred bosses as part of an updated lair boss system.
* Sins of the Horadrim: Nightmare Dungeons will see new activities and interactions that let players increase the dungeon’s intensity as they hunt down Hell’s barons.
* Infernal Chaos: The Infernal Horde is becoming more chaotic, with new choices and advanced options for Infernal Waves.
Other updates include keyboard and mouse support for consoles, which will provide more control over gameplay. Core system updates are also coming to the Battle Pass and Seasonal Journey, aiming to make these features more rewarding.
Many of the 2025 updates were made possible by player feedback. Blizzard encourages players to continue sharing their thoughts on Sanctuary’s evolution through forums, social media, or other channels.
