Blizzard’s latest developer live stream revealed key details about Diablo IV Season of Witchcraft, set to launch on public servers January 21 at 10 AM Pacific Time. The season’s highlight is the long-awaited Armory feature, allowing players to seamlessly change builds in towns.
The Armory, character-bound rather than account-bound, lets each character save up to five different loadouts. Players can view a specific build’s equipment, skills, and Paragon nodes on the Armory screen. Switching between loadout slots with different Paragon loads is free. Missing items will be indicated with an icon if they’ve been sold or salvaged.
The Season of Witchcraft focuses on the Coven of the Witches of Hawezar, who recruit players to track down missing heads as part of a seasonal questline. This line unlocks three new witchy powers: Eldritch, Psyche, and Growth & Decay. Players can also discover lost powers by finding Forgotten Altars in random dungeons.
New Occult Gems have been added, crafted from materials earned by completing Whisper Bounties and returning Fugitive Heads. Seasonal Legendary Runes are available for Vessel of Hatred expansion owners, including Nagu, Igni, and Chac, which offer unique abilities and rewards.
