Music mogul Sean Combs faces new allegations of forced labor in a superseding indictment. The second superseding indictment, unsealed on Thursday, adds to the federal charges against him following his arrest last year.
Combs has been accused of forcing employees to work long hours under threat of physical and reputational harm. According to the indictment, he allegedly withheld money, used psychological harm, and threatened job loss to make them comply. In one instance, Combs is said to have forced an employee to engage in sex acts with him.
The new allegations do not change the May 5 trial date for Combs, who has pleaded not guilty to racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation charges. He remains in custody at the federal Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
Combs’ attorney maintains that his client denies all accusations. The music mogul was previously arrested on charges related to transporting prostitutes across state lines.
