Director of Donald Trump Biopic Accused of Groping A-List Actor

Ali Abbasi, director of the biopic The Apprentice, has been accused of “aggressively groping” an A-list actor at a Golden Globes afterparty in January. According to Deadline, Abbasi was “inebriated” during the incident and had previously worked with the actor at Hollywood agency CAA.

CAA reportedly wanted Abbasi to apologize to the victim, but others close to him advise against any contact with this person. The alleged incident led to Abbasi’s termination from his relationship with CAA and management company Entertainment 360.

Abbasi initially stated he was moving in a new direction with his career, but did not directly address the groping accusation. Both Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong, stars of The Apprentice, have been nominated for Oscars for their performances in the film, which received critical acclaim despite commercial failure.
