Disney has teamed up with AI startup OpenAI to license its iconic characters, including Mickey Mouse and Cinderella, for use on a new video platform that uses artificial intelligence. As part of the deal, Disney will take a $1 billion stake in OpenAI and gain access to a library of 200+ animated characters for AI-generated videos. However, character likenesses and voices are not included in the partnership, ensuring that only their appearance is used.
