Doctor Prescribes Forest Bathing for Burnout Relief

A Harvard Medical School professor, Dr. Susan Abookire, recently led a forest bathing session at Harvard’s Arnold Arboretum as part of resident training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital to reduce stress and burnout among medical professionals. The concept, initially met with skepticism by some, has been explored in various wellness circles. However, when Dr. Abookire, an internist, implemented the practice, it seemed to take effect even on her skeptical participant.
