Dodgers Pledge $1 Million to Support Immigrant Families Amid ICE Raids

The Los Angeles Dodgers have pledged $1 million in financial assistance to families of immigrants “impacted by recent events” in the region. The announcement comes amid federal immigration raids and protests in the area, with calls for the team to speak out against the enforcement efforts.

Dodgers President and CEO Stan Kasten said the team will work with local organizations to provide food and mental health services to families in need. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass also voiced her support, stating that the city is “sticking together” during this time.

The pledge comes after a tense standoff between the Dodgers and immigration authorities, who attempted to access the stadium’s parking lot earlier in the week. The incident was denied by both sides, but President Trump has made clear his desire for ICE to continue targeting cities with majority Democratic leadership.
